1990년 서울에서 태어난 박경민은 여섯 살에 바이올린과 피아노의 기초 교육을 시작했으며, 11세부터는 조성구, 예원학교에서는 조상운 문하에서 비올라를 사사했다 . 오스트리아로 이주한 2003년부터 5년 동안 빈 국립 음대에서 울리히 쉐나우어를 사사했고, 2008년 베를린 한스 아이슬러 음대에 입학한 직후 발터 퀴스너를, 2010년부터는 타베아 치머만을 사사했으며, 2016년에 최고 연주자 과정을 졸업했다.
박경민은 2013년 독일 ARD 콩쿠르 비올라 부문에서 2위, 청중상, 특별상을 동시에 수상했고, 리오넬 테르티스 비올라 콩쿠르 최연소 2위에 올랐다. 아울러 18세에 슬로베니아 블레드 콩쿠르에 우승했으며, 2010년 동아일보 콩쿠르를 우승했다.
바이에른 방송교향악단, 베를린 콘체르트하우스 오케스트라, 루마니아 국립 방송교향악단, 경기 필하모닉, 코리안 심포니, 폴란드 체임버, 바덴바덴 필하모닉, 브라운슈바이크 슈타츠오케스트라, 브란덴부르크 슈타츠테아터 등 세계 유수의 오케스트라와 솔리스트로 공연하였으며, 2015년 젊은 솔리스트 육성 목적의 오르페움 재단 장학금을 수여했고, 필리프 조르당의 빈 심포니와 바이올리니스트 니콜라이 츠나이더 와 이탈리아 메라노, 스위스 로카르노, 취리히 톤할레 투어를 함께 했다. 실내악 주자로는, 스위스 인터내셔널 뮤직 아카데미, 롤란트세크 페스티벌, 비야 무지카 페스티벌(Villa Musica), 아스펜, 평창 대관령 음악제에 참가했으며, 객원 수석으로 뮌헨 필하모닉, 로열 스톡홀름 필하모닉 공연에 참가하기도 했다.
저먼 인스트루먼트 펀드 콩쿠르에 입상하고, 2018년 베를린 필하모닉에 수습 단원으로 임명되었으며, 2019년 정단원으로 승급했다.
Kyoungmin Park began playing the violin when she was six. But when she first heard a viola at the age of 11, she felt drawn to its dark sound and decided to change to the lower string instrument. In 2003, the young South Korean Kyoungmin went to study in Vienna and studied with Ulrich Schönauer. In 2008, she moved to Berlin, where she studied at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler under Walter Küssner, and from 2010 under Tabea Zimmermann, graduating with a concert diploma (Konzertexamen). She also attended masterclasses with Wilfried Strehle, the former principal viola of the Berliner Philharmoniker, who made her familiar with the sound ideal of the orchestra.
A multiple winner of national and international competitions, 2nd and audience , special prizes at Munich ARD Competition, Lionel Tertis Competiton, Markneukirchen Competiton, etc.
She has appeared as a soloist with the Philharmonie Baden-Baden, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Korean Symphony Orchestra and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra and has appeared as a chamber musician at renowned European and Korean festivals.
Since 2018 she is member of Berlin Philharmonic.
